If you make a donation of just £45 to The Kirsty Club they will donate their services back to you! For your donation of £45, you will receive an amazing family photo shoot, and a 10” x 8” (20cm x 25cm) portrait worth £370! Every penny of your donation will go to The Kirsty Club.

The Kirsty Club has now gone worldwide, thanks to patron Andrea Bommer who has opened our first overseas supporters club in Germany. Hopefully, this is the first of many international branches—setup by people like Andrea who’ve been inspired by Kirsty’s ongoing quest to expand and improve Francis House Children’s Hospice. Support a Celebrity Runner

It’s that time of year again when thoughts turn towards the Bupa Great Manchester Run, and all our lovely runners. This is always a fun and challenging day—and one of our most important fundraisers. As always, we’ll be joined by some famous faces hoping to raise funds for The Kirsty Club to extend Francis House Children’s Hospice, including regulars Russell Watson and Samia Smith, and newcomer Richard Fleeshman. Kirsty will of course be leading the way, as will Kirsty Club Director Phil Taylor, our international patron Andrea Bommer, and webmaster Ian Ebden.

Register for Great Manchester Run 2010

It’s never too early to start planning for the next Great Manchester Run! This is always fun and challenging day, which has become one of our most important fundraisers. The junior run takes place on 15th May, with the main event the following day. You can pre-register for this very popular event now at http://www.greatrun.org. As a previous winner, Kirsty will be attending this year’s Sports Personality of the Year Awards in Sheffield on Sunday 13th December 2009. It should be another star-studded event, and Kirsty is really looking forward to it.

Another year, another fabulous birthday party for Kirsty—and another great fund-raiser for the Kirsty Club. Thanks to everyone who attended this year’s glitzy Angel Ball at the Hallmark Hotel in Handforth. It’s been a difficult year for us all, but we were still able to have some fun and raise some much-needed funding for Francis House Children’s Hospice. Special thanks to the hotel staff, to all our supporters, to our auctioneer Mike Osman, and compare and entertainer Mike Sweeney. Photos will be added to The Kirsty Club photostream on Flickr. The Big Switch On

Sue Johnston Collects OBE

Kirsty Club patron and much-loved actress Sue Johnston collected an OBE yesterday from the Queen at Buckingham Palace. Sue is perhaps best known for her role in BBC One’s The Royle Family, but she has also worked closely with a number of charities—in particular, The Kirsty Club. Everyone involved in the charity - as well as Kirsty - are delighted Sue has received such a prestigious honour.

Going “Back to Broadway” for Kirsty

The Garrick Theatre, Altrincham is home to the musical “Back to Broadway” on Sunday 8th November. The show features five West End, TV and National Tour performers bringing you a brand new compilation of songs from some of the greatest musicals including: Blood Brothers, Les Miserables, Chicago, Guys and Dolls, Grease, Mamma Mia, West Side Story… to name but a few!
