Kirsty’s the Star of the Ball

Saturday 13th September at the Hilton, Deansgate Manchester. Inspirational Kirsty Howard will be celebrating her 13th birthday. On the 13th hosting on table number 13 at the prestigious occasion this coming Saturday. So maybe 13 isn’t so unlucky after all! Kirsty has not only raised the profile for all Childrens’ Hospices, she has also raised an astonishing £5 million to secure her own Hospice—Francis House in Didsbury, Manchester. Kirsty, has achieved so many milestones in her life but this one is definitely a reason to Party because Kirsty will become a teenager!
Kirsty, who has defied Medical prognosis for nine years and deals with her illness with such spirit, is a true miracle.
The Hilton in the Community Foundation and The Kirsty Club are joining to support each other for Kirsty’s Star Ball. As well as celebrating becoming a teenager, the glamorous black-tie event will also give Kirsty a chance to spend time with stars from her favourite TV show. Coronation Street’s Antony Cotton, Liz Dawn, William Roach, Samia Smith, Vicky Binns, Bill Tarmey, Helen Flanagan and Katherine Kelly have all confirmed their support on the night!
Sensational Soul Queen Beverley Knight will be performing, and Stephen Mulhern will be talking time off from his hectic Britain’s got More Talent schedule to host the proceedings, which include a celebrity cabaret after the four-course dinner. Antony Cotton will assist Stephen for the Auction.
Half of the proceeds raised from the Hilton in the Community Foundation event will go to Kirsty’s charity—The Kirsty Club—to help the work of Francis House Children’s Hospice in Didsbury. The remaining 50% will be distributed to children’s charities around the country through the Hilton in the Community Foundation.
Like all things, our Hospice has to expand and grow to reach out and try to meet the needs of more families. Their needs are significant, so we need to expand and provide a new facility for Francis House Children’s Hospice. This will be a fitting tribute. Dedicated to Kirsty, this special extension will provide existing families with extra days of care and enable our excellent Children’s Hospice to extend that support to some of the waiting families in our area.

Kirsty never ceases to amaze us, and she is so looking forward to becoming a teenager. For her actual Birthday on the 20th of September she is looking forward to staying at Francis House.”
