As a previous winner, Kirsty will be attending this year’s Sports Personality of the Year Awards in Sheffield on Sunday 13th December 2009. It should be another star-studded event, and Kirsty is really looking forward to it.

Another year, another fabulous birthday party for Kirsty—and another great fund-raiser for the Kirsty Club. Thanks to everyone who attended this year’s glitzy Angel Ball at the Hallmark Hotel in Handforth. It’s been a difficult year for us all, but we were still able to have some fun and raise some much-needed funding for Francis House Children’s Hospice. Kirsty along with supporter Russell Watson will be turning on the Christmas lights at The Lowry Centre in Salford Quays, at 4pm on Sunday 15th November. Come along and join in the festivities with Kirsty and Russell.

Kirsty Club patron and much-loved actress Sue Johnston collected an OBE yesterday from the Queen at Buckingham Palace. Sue is perhaps best known for her role in BBC One’s The Royle Family, but she has also worked closely with a number of charities—in particular, The Kirsty Club. Everyone involved in the charity - as well as Kirsty - are delighted Sue has received such a prestigious honour.
